Translation:
Sasha walked on the highway
From Ivanovo to Oskol,
From the Urals to Tuapse,
In all her glory,
In sneakers and jeans
Sasha was on the highway.
Sasha walked on the highway,
But in such places
Where its possible to drive insane
Looking around:
Abandoned houses
Broken tractors
It's like a war here
was only yesterday.
Sasha walked on the highway
From Uglich to Sarov,
Between units
And the factories,
Where people work in smoke
And produce smoke,
which is not necessary for anyone
Neither dead nor alive.
Sasha was on the highway
From Donbass to Kuzbass,
Through the coal basin,
Where mined death
With coal in half.
Sasha walked on the highway
Through the wild region,
Where "Gazelle"(something like combination of car and bus, produced in Russia)
Appears once in three days
To bus stop waiting for it
Go old people and children .
Yes,there is no transport .
Sasha walked on the highway
With instructions from home,
With sadness for all,
who is still alive
Went to our father -tzar,
By the boyars in the White House ( its our government's house in moscow)
Gazing at the sunset,
Almost running.
I myself have seen it
Between Nizhniy and Torzhok
And even gave her money
On the beer with a pie,
Do not cry, my country,
Hope, my people,
I believe that once upon a time
She will come to the finish point.
And tzar will start to panic,
And government will gag
and simply give to all people money and land,
Everyone will laugh and love everybody...
Because its impossible that Sasha walked on highway for nothing.
A description about the song from my dear friend, Lera Privolneva:
(Sasha
is personification of revolution, of the youth' hopes for good future -
certainly youth can make revolution. But sure such hopes almost
fantastic - not only because its impossible to change things quickly.
Russian mentality is the main cause - endless patience of our people is
actually the main problem, which preserved things as they are.)

Hermitage in St. Petersburg, the European who has a comprehensive

Everything Will be Alright
I'm sorry, I don't have a preview for this, but the entire movie can be found online on youtube.
Synopsis:
Kolya
(Anatoli Guravlev) and Olga (Olga Ponezova) are stepsiblings who grew
up together and loved each other ever since they were children. As
expected, upon his return from military service, Kolya proposes and
preparation for a wedding is under way. But the penniless couple doesn't
win their parents approval–Kolya's mother is particularly discouraging,
as all her life she has dreamed for her son to marry a rich girl with
good background–and an apartment.
Into the chaotic town
arrives Smirnov (Alexander Zbruev), old flame of Kolya's mother who's
now a successful businessman, and his son Petya (Mark Garanok), a
20-year-old prodigy and Nobel Prize laureate. As soon as the dashing,
educated youngster lays his yes on Olga, it's clear that a fateful
night–and all kinds of complications–will ensue on the way to church
altar.
It's to the credit of scripter Romanenko and
director Astrakhan that, though they employ the basic structure of a
fairy tale, there's still genuine suspense. To the last minute, it's
unclear who'll be the lucky fellow to wed the charming, if also totally
confused and unpredictable Olga.
No rating information. 110 mins long.

others. She dreamed of ballet, sang in a children's choir and went to
school. In six years, she stopped talking. At 17 she moved to Moscow.

Chelovek s kinoapparatom (A Man with movie-camera) Silent film from 1929
No trailer, but the full film can be found online on youtube.
Dziga
Vertov's experimental film grew out of his belief, shared by his
editor, Elizaveta Svilova (who was also his wife), and his
cinematographer, Mikhail Kaufman (also his brother), that the true goal
of cinema should be to present life as it is lived. To that end, the
filmmakers offer a day-in-the-life portrait of a city from dawn until
dusk, though they actually shot their footage in several cities,
including Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa. After an opening statement, there are
no words in the film (neither voice-over nor titles), just dazzling
imagery, kinetically edited - as a celebration of the modern city with a
marked emphasis on its buildings and machinery.
New
composition performed by the Alloy Orchestra (1995), based on notes
left by Vertov. It incorporates sound effects such as sirens, babies
crying, crowd noise, etc.

Stilyagi
Watch the trailer:

This
is the story of Moscow in the early fifties, in which young people
have to fight for the right to not be like everyone else, but listen to
different music, wear different clothes and of course, love.
While
the Cold War heats up on the world stage, rebellious youth in 1955
Moscow wage a cultural battle against dismal Soviet conformity, donning
brightly colored black-market clothing, adopting American nicknames and
reveling in forbidden jazz. Straight-laced 20-year-old Communist Mels
finds these brazen 'Stilyagi' shocking until he falls under the spell
of one, namely Polly, and joins the new revolution. Soon he's a
peacock, cavorting in the latest flashy fashions, sporting an enormous
pompadour and wailing on the saxophone.
Ok, guys~ vote on the movie you want to see here in comments! We can discusss when to do it :)
